sabishii:( i was already missing meg yesterday, and then just now on the way out of the subway station i found myself walking next to a girl that looked JUST like rose, even down to the strands of hair falling down on either side of her eyes. i actually thought it WAS her for a second, and was trying to figure out how she might happen to be not just in japan but at the subway station near my house, and then she looked at me and caught me staring at her, and i saw a tiny bit of slanty eyes and decided given the situation, it must not be her. June 26, 2003 at 6:14 PMphew, today was hectic. i finally decided the best way to get my stuff home was to just buy a third bag and then pay the fee ($200) to take it home on the plane. It's expensive but as previously stated, postal service is expensive too and takes 20 days. Permalink | Revision: 1 | (0 comments) | Comments are closed for this entry.
carol anne stands alone in the schoolyard, all the other children have gonei sure do wish the air conditioner in my room worked. it's ridiculously hot these days, especially up here on the 2nd floor. can't wait to get back to PR where we have air conditioning and are allowed to use it :) Permalink | Revision: 1 | (0 comments) | Comments are closed for this entry. drew gets philosophical...in other news, IT'S ALMOST FRIDAY!!! if you have a job you know that everyone says that, always, all the time, no matter what day it is. especially on thursday. then on friday, you get the greek chorus moving the plot along, but the only thing that happens in the plot is friday. expiring for love is beautiful but stupidwell i didn't go to autobacs. one weekend left, i'll have to be sure to go next weekend. yesterday jenn and i saw matrix reloaded. jenn disliked it more than i did, but i definitely didnt think it was as good as the first one. i think they put too much effort into topping the first one, special effects-wise, etc. (plus that whole first scene in zion was pretty unnecessary). there were also some pretty cheezy love bits between neo and trinity that i didn't really want to watch. to condense fact from the vapor of nuanceawesome day. hung out with my favorite people on the trip. went and did kyoto adventure with stephen, then starbucks with jenn, shannon, alia. hung out there for a few hours just talking about stuff, then shannon and alia went home and jenn and i went to the arcade at teramachi. came across one of those games where you put in the money then try and get a prize with the claw, only instead of the usual small stuff, it had huge foot-long plushes of the Initial-D AE86. Not freedom like America, freedom like a shopping cartWell yesterday was interesting, but not in any exciting way. first we had our midterm and it was easy and i think i did fine. then at the library my hard drive suddenly finished dying. fortunately, joel had a copy of winXP with him, so i copied it and installed the new hard drive and installed winXP, and so i'm back online. of course now i have to install all my software again, so i'm going about downloading everything. June 1, 2003 at 2:00 PMi think i'm bad luck for myself. after joking yesterday about the "emergency cock" on the bus: (and assuming that it was referring to a drain cock of some sort, like to release the pneumatic pressure and allow the door to open), today i got to see it in action.
