There is a hacking/security convention in PR towards the end of October; something like DEF CON but on a much smaller scale. Xapiens is going to have a booth there, and my boss is talking about dressing me up for the convention. They want to put a helmet on my head with a WiFi antenna on top, put a PDA in my pocket, and let me walk around the convention automatically sniffing passwords and other wireless network traffic.

I think this idea is extraordinary. I like wearing helmets; it reminds me of my childhood. I said as long as I'm doing that, I could get dressed up for the occasion. Maybe paint my helmet half white and half black. I could be like the Xapiens mascot, named Sniffy or something. Hopefully it will not be a violation of federal law to post pictures here. :)

Luis said he also wanted to film a short movie featuring me hacking into an IBM AS/400 mainframe, and have it playing on a TV at the booth. I don't think I will get to fly through any Gibsons or establish my eleetness, but it should be amusing nonetheless.

I'm not sure why they feel I'm their posterboy of hacking, though. I don't resemble a computer nerd in the least.
