My big event of the day was finally succumbing to all of Scott's regales about the benefits of a dual monitor setup. He just got a nice pair of LCDs and a video card with two VGA heads, and is quite happy with himself. Finally, his avid descriptions had an effect and I pulled out that 17" Dell monitor I got for $20 when BankTrust got bought out by EuroBank from where it had been sitting outside my bedroom door for months. I was tired of stubbing my toes on it all the time anyway. So now I'm running dual monitors, and it's awesome, but two CRT's is far less sexy than two svelte LCD's. So now my already limited desk space is at even more of a premium. For now, I threw the stuff on the bed. We'll see tonight what I do with it when it comes time to sleep. Who knows, maybe I will reprise that period when I was like 14 where I slept on the floor for a year because I was too lazy to clean my bed.
Today was also the Xapiens company Christmas party. Yeah, that was about what I expected: computer nerds standing around trying to find non-computer-related things to talk about :) But it turns out that Ivan Vélez, the director of operations at RGFC (and the guy who passed my resume along to Xapiens) lives in the same urbanization as Deoscoidy, which is where the party was taking place. Ivan invited Luis to come by and check out the house, and the idea arose to surprise him with a parranda (if you're not Puerto Rican, a parranda is a Christmastime tradition where you terrorize and annoy friends and loved ones using musical instruments and loud singing, best performed after 2am). Deoscoidy broke out his surprisingly extensive musical arsenal, we all chose our weapons, and we piled into the car. They quickly taught me the three chords required, the doorbell was rung, and we performed our surprise symphony. Sadly, it was around 8pm, so no neighbors were awoken and no machetes were wielded.
The rest of the evening consisted of taking a tour of Ivan's house, and then smiling and playing "social" for two hours. Now I'm here at work and rocking out to the Hackers soundtrack and relishing the appropriateness of it all.

Sounds awkward. You are going to have to teach my how to hook up dual monitors, because I am really thinking about getting another...do I have to buy something special besides a second monitor?

Do eeeet. Dual monitors is the shiznitzle with sauerkraut. You'll need a video card with dual out puts.

Yup, the cheapest dual head video cards I see on NewEgg are about $50, like this one. Or, if you want to save a little money, I believe you can get a cheap PCI video card (like these) for about $30 and run it alongside your existing card. I'd say it's worth getting one of the $50 dual head ones though. It will give you a little better performance and might be easier to set up in Windows.
