I'm such a packrat.

Current contents of that little pocket at the top of my bookbag:

  • An electronic Japanese-English dictionary
  • A USB 2.0 PCMCIA card
  • A CompactFlash PCMCIA adapter
  • My cheap sunglasses that our roofers left here over christmas break
  • A compass
  • A stick of Burt's Bees lip balm
  • Three nail clippers from Walgreens (???)
  • $0.93 in change
  • The tassel from my cap and gown from graduation
  • A small LED flashlight
  • A form for changing the address for my National Geographic subscription
  • A Clemson Sports Car Club membership card
  • A wallet-sized picture of my friend Isa
  • A (legal) CD key for Windows Server 2003
  • A Finding Nemo valentines card from Meg's Jessie
  • The instruction manual for Zelda: A Link To The Past on Gameboy Advance
  • A receipt for a pair of headphones I bought at Best Buy in Anderson on 5/4/2004
  • Some business cards I made for myself when I was 17 (sporting the e-mail address dmc@dreamt.org)
  • A ticket stub for a Blue Man Group performance in Boston on 3/18/2004
  • Receipts for the insurance on the packages I shipped to myself when I moved to PR in April
  • The large knob from the front of my old ART SGX-2000 guitar effects processor
  • A poem my sister wrote for me for my graduation
  • A one-peso bill from the Dominican Republic
  • A fifty francs bill from France
  • A small bag of screws for securing the lexan body of a radio-controlled car
  • A piece of paper on which I wrote misc. notes while in Japan in Summer, 2003 and, later, German lessons from Amy (Du tanzt wie ein kasebrote).

No wonder my rediscovered PDA doesn't fit.

Big thumbs up on the Burt's Bees, you probably got it from me. :)

Also, wtf is up with three nailclippers? Do your nails grow that fast? Do you wear nailclippers out so fast that you feel the need to buy them in bulk?

with all those various pieces of paper, you could make a paper mache' holder for your PDA. which you could attach to your bookbag with your tassel. or you could use all the organic bits of stuff for fuel if you get stranded.

or you could TRY THROWING SOMETHING AWAY ONCE IN AWHILE. just a thought.... :)
