Do you speak English? It sounds like you're saying that shipping costs will be high. It isn't that bad relative to the cost of the helicopter itself. Shipping to Holland will be USD $107. I'll send you an invoice for the total amount.

Could you please reply to this email as soon as possible? If I don't hear from you within the next 48 hours (by 4/1/2006 06:00 GMT), I will be forced to assume you do not intend to complete the auction. At that point I will file a non-paying bidder complaint against you with eBay and relist the item. I would much rather not have to do that, so please email me as soon as possible. Thank you.

Great. Now I feel like a jerk for yelling at a 12-year-old. He even managed to form a relatively understandable English sentence (assuming 'arbeid' is Dutch for 'job'). Sigh. I still kinda want to stab him in the face though.

You should still file a complaint. You don't want this happening to someone else the next time this kid gets happy with the bidding.

Yeah, I did. However, eBay's site seemed to be broken, and it wouldn't let me submit a "buyer didn't pay" report. Every time I tried to choose that option, it just took me back to the beginning again. It would only let me file a "we mutually agreed not to complete the transaction" report. I should still get my auction fees refunded that way, but he won't get a strike against his account. I guess that's alright. I'll be sure to mention it in his feedback so future sellers know what he's prone to do.
My main concern with this is that under the "mutually agreed" type of report, eBay sends the buyer an email asking him to confirm that we agreed this, and if the buyer disagrees for some reason, then I don't get my refund. I don't see why he would do that, aside from the fact that he seems to have been placed on Earth to aggravate me. So I'm crossing my fingers. Even if he doens't outright reject the claim, though, he can just ignore the email, which means I'll have to wait 8 days before eBay will proceed with closing the transaction.
When I relist this, I'm going to be sure to explicitly state that bidders with zero or negative feedback have to contact me before bidding or have their bids cancelled. I always thought sellers were jerks when they were so harsh to new users (everyone started out with zero feedback, after all). I always thought, "Nobody's actually stupid enough to bid on something they don't want to buy, are they?" But now I guess I can see that yes, people do.

Yeah, I always get really nervous when new bidders bid on my auctions. I've been burned once or twice, and I know others who have been as well. I like to give people the benefit of the doubt, but...
