Scaliest infestation ever

Yesterday as I was driving down my street on the way home from work, I was surprised to see a large green iguana waddle across the road in front of my car. "Weird," I thought.

Today as I was coming home from work I saw the same iguana waddling across the road in the same place. "That's a weird coincidence," I thought. About 20 feet down the road, I saw another iguana sitting in the street, hanging out with a cat in the shade of an SUV. "That's ridiculous," I thought. Also: "Great picture!" So I stopped and grabbed my camera and walked back to the SUV. Apparently my approach caused the cat to skedaddle, but the iguana remained, eyeing me warily. He didn't seem too happy about my intrusion either; as I raised my camera, he got up on his front legs and puffed out his under-neck-thingy. But he indulged me and held that pose while I took a few pictures, and I thanked him by going away. A satisfying transaction.

Iguana

That's punk rock as hell.

What a fantastic portrait... almost as if he's a human subject!! I love iguanas.

Do Puerto Rican's eat iguanas like some of your latin american neighbors? If so, that one looks totally delicious!

God, no, that's disgusting. Puerto Ricans only eat classy, proper food like fried, blood-filled pig intestines.

Actually, God knows what meat is in "frituras" that they sell in Luquillo...

This is a beautiful iguana and an amazing photograph. The puerto rican iguanas are so much cleaner and nicer looking than the Galapagos iguanas. Did you happen to get this iguanas number? ;)

I did not, but I know where he lives. I can go down and put in a good word for you. I think he's already seeing that cat, but I'm sure you can woo him away from her.
