The apartment is starting to feel a bit more liveable. At first I planned to buy cheap crap for it, to kind of replicate the Compound. But after seeing how nice it is, I've been striving for a little bit more orderliness. I remember visiting friends' houses from time to time and using their clean, pure white towels and marveling at the hotel-like feeling of it. I also remember being quite infatuated with Meej's white, fluffy room, and so I've been keeping these things in mind as I do my shopping. My bed is clothed in 600-thread-count sheets and a wonderful, fluffy white comforter, and it's delightful. My towels and shower curtain continue the white theme.
The living room is slightly less bare now as well. I went to Goodwill and found a nice big couch. It's big — seats three comfortably, with no squeezing — and quite comfortable. The terrible orange/brown color kind of breaks the white theme of the house, but it was only $50, so I don't mind too much. The TV I'm borrowing from Cat is still sitting on the floor, so you kind of have to look down at it from the couch, but it works for now.
After my next paycheck I should be able to buy another piece of furniture — I'm tempted to buy an entertainment center, but I should probably get a desk first, since I'll be spending lots of time on the computer. Ah well, little by little it's feeling more like a home.

Ahh it looks like my Apartment when I first moved in. Now I have most of the furniture I need (including one I don't). But what I still don't have are wall decorations. My gf said that she will help me, because as a male species we are apparently incapable of decorating. You couch proves this.
Good luck with the decorating!
