What bothers me even more is though centipedes CAN have hundreds of legs, they rarely do; and millipedes never have 1000 legs. I've recently decided that the person who originally named them did so based on the nearest units of measurement: measure centipedes in centimetres and millipedes in millimetres. I know that the -pedes suffix doesn't really fit into this hypothesis, but it makes more sense than the other :)

I finished mine at 6am so I couldn't try it out -- I'm about to go do that now and see what it actually does :) But lately I've been finding the range where my amp really wakes up and starts to sound just like I want it to -- around 3-4 on the volume dial -- so if this lets me get that sound but at a little lower output volume that'll be perfect.
