I worked all night Saturday night (10pm-11am), then headed straight to the airport from work on Sunday morning. The plane was a small Cessna 402 which seats about seven. I was hoping I'd get to sit in the copilot seat, but that spot was given to an attractive blonde girl (go figure). I did end up sitting just behind her though, so I got to check out all the instrumentation and everything. Permalink | Revision: 2 | (1 comment) | Comments are closed for this entry. Woohoo, a trip to a tropical island!I've been trying to put together a small trip to St. Thomas to go see Rose for a few months now, but we've had trouble working it out. The original idea was to go when Andrés was here too, but time was short and conditions unfavorable. Finally this weekend I'll be able to make it over there. I have to work tonight (Saturday), but in exchange I get Monday off. I'm flying out tomorrow around noon (heading straight to the airport once I get out of work), and I return on Tuesday evening, just in time to come right back to work. Andrés arrives tomorrow, and he will be here for two and a half weeks. I've accumulated four vacation days from working weekend shifts over the last month or two, so I'm taking Thursday, Friday, Monday, and Tuesday off. That means today is effectively my Friday, which is awesome. After Liz regrettably leaves, Andrés and I are going to see if we can make a weekend trip to St. Thomas to visit Rose. A few weeks after that, I'm going to Cedar Point with Bryan and Cat. Around then, Michelle and Andrea get down here for the summer, and they'll be here for 4 months. So for the next few months, at least, my solitude seems to be in a temporary reprieve. Liz's plane gets in around 6pm, so the plan is to call her when I get off work at 8. Just have to make it until then and I'm home free. Permalink | Revision: 1 | (1 comment) | Comments are closed for this entry. |
